The Taj Mahal is a magnificent white marble mausoleum located in the city of Agra, India. It is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic structure was built in the 17th century, between 1631 and 1648, by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died during childbirth.

The design of the Taj Mahal is a blend of Islamic, Persian, and Indian architectural styles. The main mausoleum is surrounded by four minarets and stands on a marble platform overlooking the Yamuna River. It is symmetrically laid out in a rectangular shape.
